Steven Sturlis Ph.D.
Scientific Advisor

Steve’s training and background in drug discovery research provide him with the insight to analyze new disclosures in greater depth and with a heightened understanding of the challenges and underlying principles. During his fellowship with the Office of Technology Transfer, Steve analyzed nearly 50 unique inventions disclosed at the University of Michigan from a wide range of scientific disciplines—from the chemical and biological sciences to mechanical engineering, materials science, energy technology and behavioral sciences.

Steve’s background has broadened his scientific horizons, giving him the ability to quickly develop an understanding of new technologies from fields outside his technical background and to cultivate his skills in market analysis, competitive landscapes and commercialization strategies.
