Intellectual Property Law Firm Brinks Gilson & Lione Elects Jason Schigelone as Counsel
CHICAGO—Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the nation’s largest intellectual property law firms, has elected attorney Jason W. Schigelone as counsel, effective January 2015.
Mr. Schigelone specializes in patent prosecution and litigation in a range of technical areas, with an emphasis on patents in the chemical, medical, and mechanical arts. He has represented global clients in numerous patent infringement matters including Hatch-Waxman cases, and has deep experience in litigation relating to cardiovascular and interventional medical device patents.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Schigelone worked for a decade in the automotive industry, including at Ford Motor Co. from 1994 to 2000, and as a patent engineer for original equipment manufacturer Visteon Corp., from 2003 to 2005. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan; he earned his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School.
