Brinks Gilson & Lione Again Ranks in Top 20 US Law Firms for Prosecuting Patents, Says Intellectual Property Today
CHICAGO—For the twelfth consecutive year, intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the largest IP law firms in the United States, has been ranked in the top 20 patent firms in the country by monthly legal industry magazine Intellectual Property Today.
Intellectual Property Today’s annual ranking of more than 270 U.S. boutique and general practice firms with IP practices is determined according to the total number of U.S. utility patents those firms obtained on behalf of their clients.
The publication ranked Brinks 17th in the number of utility patents issued in 2014, with 1,946. Brinks attorneys saw a total of 2,030 U.S. patents issued in 2014—including utility, design, and plant patents, for year-over-year growth of 3.7 percent.
