Brinks attorney to present at annual Green Tech conference
ANN ARBOR – Keith Weiss, Ph.D., an intellectual property attorney in the Ann Arbor office of Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., will serve as the guest luncheon speaker at the 2016 IEEE Annual Green Technologies Conference (Green Tech) being held on April 7 and 8 in Kansas City.
The Green Tech Conference, now in its eighth year, was conceived to address the challenges of securing green and clean energy sources for the 21st century to protect the environment and help build a more resilient power grid. Dr. Weiss, along with his Brinks colleagues Jacob Bachman and David Lindner, both of the Chicago office, will be presenting, “The Evolving Intellectual Property Landscape for Green Technology Relative to Energy Generation, Storage and Distribution” during the conference’s opening day luncheon.
At Brinks, Dr. Weiss focuses his practice on patent prosecution and intellectual property agreements with an emphasis on IP portfolio planning, development, and management. Prior to practicing law, he worked for 20 years in R & D management, product development, and technology licensing. Dr. Weiss is listed as an inventor on more than 30 U.S. patents regarding advanced materials, components and systems used in the automotive, aerospace, coatings, plastics, and microelectronic industries.
