Yashas Honasoge

“I’m deeply interested in what my clients do. I want to be part of their team for the long run, not just for one patent or product.”

Yashas Honasoge brings a deep background in electrical and mechanical engineering to representing clients in patent prosecution, counseling and litigation.  His agile mind and quick grasp of new technologies has made him a valuable resource in cases ranging from telecommunications to medical devices to furniture design. Yashas is particularly experienced with digital signal and image processing technologies, including stereoscopic image processing, block-based search techniques and motion-vector compensation, as well as devices that employ these technologies to capture and process visual information.

Yashas assists clients at every stage of patent prosecution, working one-on-one with inventors to understand their innovations and develop coverage strategies. He regularly drafts office action responses, interviews patent examiners and prepares appeal briefs, and has been involved in post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His litigation experience includes preparing pleadings, performing technical analysis, and assisting with witness preparation for cases in federal district court and before the International Trade Commission.

A self-described technophile, Yashas pays close attention to a wide array of developing technologies. He believes that looking forward to where client businesses and industries are heading tomorrow, helps him to provide creative solutions for clients today.
