Scott Yoo is experienced in a vast array of technologies, including telecommunications, mobile devices, video codecs, and consumer electronics. 

Scott understands how the in-house IP management operates in major companies.  He knows first-hand what it takes to successfully manage and plan for valuable IP assets.  Prior to joining Brinks, Scott was a senior intellectual property counsel at LG Electronics, Inc. in Seoul, South Korea, where he was involved in all aspects of corporate IP activities, including patent litigation in the U.S. district courts and the ITC.  He also collaborated with engineers and business partners to ensure freedom of operation, and negotiated license and settlement agreements with other major telecommunication companies.  As a result, Scott is adept at understanding the cultural and commercial needs of both US and Asian companies.  In addition, he was a law clerk at Quarles & Brady and worked on various patent prosecution projects.
