With an extensive engineering background, Hervey communicates with clients effectively in their industry languages, rapidly grasping the core of their creative ideas, and exploring the broadest possible protection for their the creative ideas.

Prior to joining Brinks, Hervey practiced Chinese patent law, representing clients in all aspects of patent prosecution before the China Patent Office and patent invalidation proceedings before the Patent Reexamination Board (PRB). He worked on patents directed to various technologies; including telecommunications, computer networking, clouding computing and storage, social media, multimedia conferencing, Internet search engines, image and video processing, network safety, artificial intelligence, mobile applications, medical devices, electrical control systems and consumer electronics.
